Worthing family's torment at dad's grave
She decided to voice her feelings after reading last week's Herald story about Jill Pounds, who, because of the mess, resorted to paying for a gardener to tend to husband, Peter's, grave.Jennie, 56, of Devonport Road, said: "You want the best for your loved ones and it's heartbreaking when you see it looking like that."My mother paid extra to have the area turfed over, but this only happened after we had complained several times. When they finally did it, they left gaps in the turf that we had to fill with grass seed. It looked like a patchwork quilt."Other graves are still bare and many have weeds growing all over them. Others have sunk and my mum almost ended up in one because she tripped on uneven ground."Jennie's father, Leslie Saunders, died the day after his 80th birthday in December, 2006, after battling Parkinson's disease.-------------------------------------Click here to go back to Worthing news.Where are you? Hospitals offer better food to answer health concerns
According to Jill Horowitz, a registered dietitian with the Heart Smart program at Henry Ford, the West Bloomfield facility will begin selling locally produced organic food in the cafeteria next year, as well.
"It's becoming more of a mainstream thing to bring in organic, locally grown foods, so we're going to start transitioning ourselves," she said.
Blackburn said that she hopes to have Rowe speak to other hospitals about the steps he's taken toward healthier food service.
"Nobody is saying 'Do all these things at once,' " Blackburn said. "It's a series of steps, and each facility must take the steps that work for them."

"Jack and Jill vs. the World" is teeming with infuriating cinematic qualities. On the surface, it's an easy film to loathe, yet on closer inspection writer/director Vanessa Parise has managed to establish some interesting emotional corners in this otherwise bubblegum diversion, the least of which is getting Freddie Prinze Jr. to act like an adult for once.
Jack (Freddie Prinze Jr.) is an advertising man stuck in routine and a slave to New York yuppie values. One day he stumbles upon Jill (Taryn Manning), a naive young woman who delights in her big city surroundings. Offering her work, Jack takes a special shine to Jill, and is quick to offer her a room in his apartment. Jill is touched by his kindness, and the two quickly embark on a romantic relationship based on a list of rules that Jill demands be obeyed. more
