Colfax boy wants to help environment
On display will be the auction items, including a round of golf, video rentals, Spanish language tutoring, a massage, a high tea party, plants, movie passes and a basket filled with “green" cleaning products.
Alex, who will serve as auctioneer for the evening, also intends on raising the audience's awareness on global warming with a few facts.
“It would be a great gift to turn 10 and make a difference," he said.
His mission to reverse global warming won't stop with this year's birthday event, however.
When he grows up, Alex said he “wants to create a car that eats pollution and puts out clean air."
In the meantime, Alex said he's OK with “a birthday cake and one or two presents" after the auction.
For more information or to donate an item to Alex's auction, call Beth Madsen at 320-3499. more
